The European Union's Foreign Ministers on Thursday decided to impose sanctions against persons that are responsible for the violence in Ukraine, BBC reported with reference to Italian Foreign Minister Emma Bonino.

The sanctions include visa bans and asset freezes.

“The decision is to proceed very rapidly, in the next hours, to a
visa ban and asset freeze on those who have committed the violence,”
Bonino said.
