Vygaudas Usackas, the head of the EU Delegation to Russia, commenting on the results of the exist polls indicating Petro Poroshenko's victory in the Ukrainian presidential elections, told Interfax that he is hoping Russia will respect the choice made by the people of Ukraine and is hoping for a new stage in the solution of the crisis in Ukraine.
Usackas said the EU and Russia could play an important role in the de-escalation of the situation.
