BRUSSELS - The foreign affairs ministers of EU member states, during a meeting of the informal "Group of Friends of Ukraine" in Brussels, on Dec. 15 discussed the situation in the country.

“The new government has a chance to make its contribution, but time is short. And we all want to see results,” Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius told reporters after the meeting.

For his part, the organizer of the meeting, Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak, said that the new Ukrainian government should act quickly.

“Ukraine has just formed a new government, the government has just approved its program, and the reforms are the key provision of this program. Therefore there is currently no reason for concern, but of course, we would like to see quick implementation of reforms,” Lajcak said.
