Laimdota Straujuma, Prime Minister of Latvia which currently chairs the European Union Council, says that concrete dates of EU visa liberalization for Ukraine will be named at the Riga summit in May if Kyiv meets the criteria.
“I cannot promise right now that the visa regime will be liberalized for Georgia. I cannot promise this to Ukraine either. The only thing I can promise is that information will be available and if the criteria are met concrete dates [of visa regime liberalization] will be announced,” she said at the international conference supporting Ukraine in Kyiv on April 28.
