You're reading: EU provides 1.5 million euro of aid to displaced persons in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

DNIPROPETROVSK - The EU is allocating 1.5 million euro to Dnipropetrovsk Oblast to provide aid to displaced persons from Crimea and Donbas, the press service of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Administration has reported.

The agreement between the EU and Dnipropetrovsk Regional Administration was signed on Feb. 27.

The funds will be used to repair, restore and furnish 15 facilities in seven towns in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Over 2,000 of most vulnerable persons – women, children and the elderly – will be accommodated there between one and a half to two months.

The project will be realized by the Dopomoha Dnipra charitable foundation with the support of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Administration.

Over 87,000 displaced persons from Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts currently live in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
