Brussels - The European Union has reaffirmed its intention to establish a visa-free regime with Ukraine.

This is stipulated in the conclusions of the EU Council on Ukraine, which were approved at a meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels on Monday.

“The Council furthermore re-affirms its commitment to the shared objective of visa-free travel in due course provided that conditions for well-managed and secure mobility set out in the Action Plan on Visa Liberalization are in place and encourages Ukraine to increase efforts towards fulfillment of its first phase benchmarks,” read the conclusions.

In addition, the EU council looks forward to the “early conclusion of the amended Visa Facilitation Agreement.”
