About 350 flights per day, including 150 international routes, will be changed in connection with a ban on civil aviation flights over the territory of eastern Ukraine, Brian Flynn, the Head of Performance, Forecasts and Relations in NMD at EUROCONTROL said on July 18.
The changes will primarily concern the routes between Asia and Europe that pass through the Ukrainian territory.
Flynn said that such international flights number about 150 per day, but no significant delays in the flights are expected.
As reported, the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 aircraft heading from Amsterdam (the Netherlands) to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) crashed in eastern Ukraine.
In this connection, a number of airlines announced the termination of flights over Ukraine, among them are Air France, Lufthansa, and Turkish Airlines.
