You're reading: European Commission names participants of next trilateral EU-Russia-Ukraine gas talks on March 20

BRUSSELS - The next trilateral meeting between the EU, Russia and Ukraine to be held in Brussels on March 20, the European Commission said on March 18.

Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak and Ukrainian Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn will arrive on invitation by Vice President Maros Sefcovic, who will mediate the talks on behalf of the European Commission, a communique from the European Commission said.

As agreed during the latest talks on March 2, the parties have stated their willingness to continue their trilateral talks in order to agree on the follow up to the gas winter package, as called for in the Declaration of Minsk of Feb. 12, 2015.

Earlier on Tuesday Russia confirmed its participation in trilateral gas talks with Ukraine and the European Union on March 20, a Russian Energy Ministry spokesperson told Interfax.
