Ex-Minister of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine Eduard Stavytsky has Israeli citizenship, and the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) is obliged to appeal to this state regarding his extradition to Ukraine, adviser to Interior Minister Anton Heraschenko has said.

“However, I know that the state of Israel, not clear for what merits, granted citizenship to citizen Stavytsky, the former Minister of Fuel and Energy, the one who prepared several millions of dollars and tens of kilograms of gold, seized during the search, for the evil day,” Heraschenko wrote on his page on Facebook.

The adviser to the minister expressed the opinion that Stavytsky chose Israel because “Yanukovych’s team came to the conclusion that sooner or later corrupt local security forces in Russia will “undress” them, and it will be quieter in Israel.”

As reported, on March 24 the PGO included Stavytsky on the wanted list.
