Ex-Minister Zakharchenko: provocations plotted in eastern Ukraine to discredit Russian army

Vitaliy Zakharchenko, the Ukrainian Interior Minister until late Feb. 2014 claimed that acting Prosecutor General Oleh Makhnitsky has ordered that \"the injuries and death of police officers who were protecting the constitutional system of our country\" not be investigated on April 14.

Vitaliy Zakharchenko, the Ukrainian Interior Minister until late Feb. 2014, says provocations are being prepared along the Ukraine's eastern border.

“As far as we know, provocations are being plotted along the border
in eastern Ukraine with the purpose of discrediting Russian servicemen,”
Zakharchenko told a press conference in Donetsk on Sunday.

He also claimed the deliberate dismantlement of legal and social institutes.

“Illegitimately appointed persons – Turchynov, Avakov, Nalyvaichenko
and Makhnitsky – are giving illegal orders,” Zakharchenko said.
