Ministers of the previous government Yuriy Kolobov, Eduard Stavytsky, Mykola Prysiazhniuk and former head of Kyiv City Administration Oleksandr Popov have denied the fact that they have accounts of assets in Switzerland, Lichtenstein or Austria.

“I and members of my families have no account at banks of Switzerland
and Lichtenstein,” former agricultural policy and food ministry Mykola
Prysiazhniuk told Interfax-Ukraine.

He said that spreading of news on the alleged blocking of his
accounts is the start of the campaign aimed at diverting attention from
the problems of the Ukrainian economy.

“I officially report that information about me spread in mass media
that I have accounts at European banks is untrue,” reads a report of
former energy and coal industry minister Eduard Stavytsky issued on
Mar. 1.

The press service of former finance minister Yuriy Kolobov said that
he informed Swiss Ambassador to Ukraine Christian Schoenenberger by
phone that he does not have accounts in Switzerland.

Former head of Kyiv City Administration Oleksandr Popov said that he
has had only one account at a Ukrainian bank for many years and the
funds he has on the account are declared.

“I don’t have any business interests, assets, property neither in Austria, nor any other country,” he said.

The former ministers and ex head of Kyiv City Administration
addressed the relevant agencies in Austria, Switzerland and Lichtenstein
to give explanations on the publication of information on the possible
sanctions and demanded to apologize or refute the information that they
allegedly have accounts in these jurisdictions.
