Moscow - More than 100 aircraft will take part in the CIS air defense command-and-staff exercises in Moscow on Nov. 28, Russian Aerospace Defense Forces spokesman Alexei Zolotukhin told Interfax-AVN on Thursday.

“Air defense and air force units of eight CIS states – Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine – will participate in the training,” he said.

“The exercises will check the readiness of CIS air defense duty officers to respond to flights of simulation targets,” Zolotukhin said.

Russian early warning and control aircraft An-50 will take part in the training.
