You're reading: Explosion jolts Kyiv gasoline station, no one hurt

An unidentified explosive device went off near a gasoline station in the Kyiv Desniansky district on Dec. 28 night. The blast wave damaged the station's concrete fence but no one was hurt. The police launched a criminal inquiry. 

The public relations department of the Kyiv police said on Dec. 29 the
explosion near the gasoline station was reported at 22.10 on December 28. Police
patrols and task forces and bomb squad specialists were sent to the location.
They found a small hole in the station’s fence.

According to a tentative report of the experts, an unknown device was set off
and the concrete fence of the gasoline station was damaged by the blast wave.
There were no casualties.

The investigative department of the Kyiv Desniansky district police opened a
criminal inquiry under article 194 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code (premeditated
property damage or destruction).
