FIFA has decided to fine the Ukrainian Football Federation (FFU) EUR 50,000 over the behavior of Ukrainian fans during the World Cup qualifier against England at the Dnipro Arena stadium in Dnipropetrovsk on October 10.

FFU First Vice President Serhiy Storozhenko said this on Wednesday, citing the www.ua-football.com Web site.

He said that "sanctions will be stiffer next time."

As reported, Ukraine beat England 1-0 in the World Cup qualifier in Dnipropetrovsk on Oct. 10.

Police officers arrested five fans who threw flares onto the pitch during the match.
