Moscow - The first Russian army draft in Crimea and Sevastopol is due in spring 2015, Russian Armed Forces General Staff Deputy Chief Lt. Gen. Vasily Tonkoshkurov told reporters on Sept. 30.

‘Preparations for a military draft are nearing completion in Crimea and Sevastopol, the first draft is due in 2015,’ he said.

‘All laws of the Russian Federation will take full effect in Crimea and Sevastopol starting Jan. 1, 2015. Consistent with these laws, a military draft will be arranged and held in these two constituent territories of the Russian Federation,’ the General Staff deputy chief noted.
