Business circles in Ukraine have asked their business partners in Russia to use their influence and not allow the transfer of the conflict into a hot stage.

“We, businessmen, know more than anyone other knows that any problems
could be settled at a negotiation table,” reads an open letter where
Head of the Federation of Employers of Ukraine (FEU) Dmytro Firtash
addresses Chairman of Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs
(RSPP) Alexander Shokhin.

Firtash said that in the conditions when Ukraine and Russia are on
the verge of war, the representatives of business should make their
voice heard.

“I’m sure that you understand that there could not be winners in this confrontation – everyone will lose,” Firtash said.

He said that the war conflict will result in disastrous effects for
the economies of Ukraine and Russia and drive a wedge between people of
the two countries, darkening their relations forever.

The FEU sent the similar address to foreign business partners with a
call to use all their impact on the governments of their countries to
urgently interfere and not to allow the transfer of the conflict into a
hot stage.

“The war conflict in Europe will not be local and it will not be
limited only by our region. It will affect the political and economic
situation on the whole European continent and in the whole world,”
Firtash said.

He said that he addresses businessmen on behalf of business circles
of Ukrainian which represent all its regions from west to east and from
north to south.
