The flag of the so-called Donetsk People's Republic was raised in Horlivka's Kalinin Mine, replacing the state flag, the United Donbas Web site reported on April 23. The mine's director Viktor Rybak did not prevent activists from raising the flag. He offered that they come into his office for negotiations, but they refused.
Rybak said continuous operation of the enterprise remains a priority.
The Kalinin Mine is the first mine in the region to replace the flag.
