The Focus magazine was withdrawn from sale due to a technological fault, UMH Publishing, the publisher of the magazine, has said.

“On Friday, February 22, UMH Publishing’s sales office was forced to withdraw from retail networks part of Issue No. 8 of the Focus magazine, not exceeding 20% of all printed copies. The reason was a technological fault: during the production of the magazine some of its parts were printed in the wrong order – some pages were duplicated and some were absent. In this connection, editorial content and advertising models were affected,” reads the statement.

The circumstances that led to the appearance of the defective part of the issue are being studied. In addition, according to the report, the electronic version of the issue, completely identical to the printed version, will be available on the magazine’s Web site – focus.ua.

Earlier media reports said that this issue, with articles on the third anniversary of the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych and critical of spending on the maintenance of the presidential administration, was allegedly removed from all points of sale in Ukraine.
