Acting Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Deschytsia has said that it is realistic to get a visa-free regime with the EU by the end of 2014.

“To be realistic, we can get a visa-free regime with the EU by the end of the year. We need to adopt several laws and several acts that foresee the introduction of biometric passports and border controls,” he said in an interview with the Day newspaper.

He also noted that Kyiv was working to ensure that the EU countries could issue long-term and multiple-entry visas to Ukrainian citizens.
