The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has denied reports that Kyiv and Washington are allegedly in talks on the deployment of missile defense systems in Ukraine.

"The reports that negotiations are underway on the deployment of missile defense systems on Ukrainian territory are untrue. Such negotiations are not being held and there's not even a hint of them," Foreign Ministry spokesman Yevhen Perebyinis told Interfax-Ukraine on Wednesday.

He said that Ukraine and the United States were in talks on financial assistance and that they did not envisage any additional requirements.
