Following Ukraine's talks with Poland, Polish consular institutions have simplified the procedure for issuing Schengen visas to Ukrainian citizens, spokesman for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Oleksandr Dykusarov has told Interfax-Ukraine.

According to him, the consular services have reduced the list of documents needed to apply for Schengen visas for certain categories of citizens, leaving out a confirmation of employment, a copy of employment records, and a bank statement.
The procedure for issuing visas for businessmen and tourists has also been simplified, the Foreign Ministry’s spokesman said.
"The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine is engaged in active negotiations with other EU member states concerning further simplification of the procedures for issuing visas for Ukrainian citizens both at the bilateral level and through amending the visa facilitation agreement between the EU and Ukraine," Dykusarov said.
