You're reading: Forest fires extinguished in Luhansk region

Forest fires in the Severodonetsk and Novoaydarsk forest hunting areas in Luhansk region were extinguished on July 29 at 1800, the press service of the Ukrainian Emergencies Ministry has reported.

On Wednesday at about 1200 fire broke out on the territories of Severodonetsk and Novoaydarsk districts, and due to the hot weather and strong winds it spread over an area of 200 hectares in several hours.

A total of 692 firefighters and 86 equipment units took part in extinguishing the forest fire.
