Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Steven Pifer believes that the use of force by Ukrainian authorities against demonstrators will lead to the isolation of President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych by the United States and the European Union.
“Yanukovych used force against demonstrators, it is a dangerous turn of events in Ukraine. It will further isolate him from the EU and the United States,” the U.S. diplomat wrote on his Twitter page.
He added that now many European leaders “are very glad that have not signed the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.”
At night on November 30 the police dispersed the rally of supporters of Ukraine’s integration with the European Union in Kyiv downtown.
