Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak has said that it is planned to draft 40,000 conscripts and 10,500 contract servicemen into the Ukrainian Armed Forces in 2015.
“It is planned to draft 40,000 people into compulsory military service and train 10,500 soldiers on contracts at educational institutions,” he said in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Dec. 12.
Poltorak noted that the Defense Ministry had estimated the cost of the conscription to military service at Hr 95 million.
