Paying a visit to the Desnyanska waterworks, Ukraine's PM Mykola Azarov said that in Ukraine, the Drinking Water program progressed considerably over the past two years, reads ForUm.com report.

“Let us discuss the implementation of the Drinking Water program. It relates not only to Kyiv but to the whole Ukraine. In Kyiv, its pace is satisfactory. The first thing to attract attention to – is the protection of water sources,” he said.

According to the Prime Minister in 2008-2009 this program was not funded at all. “The construction of objects started, then it stopped, froze, and as a result we have the outdated documentation. We have to apply efforts to restore the pace of work,” the head of the government said.
