Four Ukrainian servicemen have been killed and 25 injured in the area of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours, spokesman for the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) information center Andriy Lysenko has said.

“Four Ukrainian servicemen have been killed and 25 wounded in the fighting over the last 24 hours,” he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Friday.

He added that these figures had been obtained as of 12 p.m. on Friday, July 11.

Lysenko said that the deaths of more soldiers had been recorded after that and that NSDC was collecting this information.

In addition, the past 24 hours saw 15 attacks on roadblocks and units of the Ukrainian ATO forces near Karlivka, Stukalova Balka, Triokhizbenka, Donetsk, Raihorodok, Stara Krasnianka, Dovzhanske, Marynivka, and Shyshkove.

Lysenko also said that the Donetsk airport controlled by the ATO forces had come under fire with mortars and ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft guns.
