Four Russian nationals have been arrested in Ukraine over the past five days on suspicion of involvement in subversive activities, said chief of the Ukrainian Security Service Valentyn Nalyvaichenko.

“All subversive groups they belonged to have been neutralized. Two of the suspects were active in the Kharkiv Oblast and two others in Donetsk. We are not concealing their names. They are Russian citizens Zharnikov, Smirnov, Kamius and Chernykh,” Nalyvaichenko told the press in Kyiv on May 5 after a roundtable conference on ID checks in the conflict zone.

“Two subversive groups have been detained over the past five days and attempts to stage terror attacks have been derailed in Kharkiv and in the Donetsk Oblast,” he said.
