PARIS - French President Francois Hollande and Polish Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz believe that the EU should review its relations with Russia, the EFE news agency reported on Friday.

In a joint statement after a meeting in Paris, they stressed that the relationship between the EU and Russia should be reconsidered in the light of the recent decisions and actions of the Russian leadership, especially with regard to Ukraine.

Hollande and Kopacz expressed their concern over the cycle of violence and condemned all illegal actions directed against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

They expressed the hope that Moscow would fully and effectively fulfill its obligations under the Minsk agreement.

The conflict in Ukraine represents a significant threat to the security and stability of Europe. Its escalation infringes on the principles of security and cooperation established within the framework of the Helsinki process, Hollande and Kopacz said.
