France will provide assistance to Ukraine in searching the property and assets of Viktor Yanukovych and his entourage, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk has said.

“After our meetings with the president and the prime minister of France, we have agreed that French colleagues will help us in search for the assets that are in the territory of France on the claims of the law enforcement authorities of Ukraine, namely the Interior Ministry, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, the State Financial Monitoring Service … Therefore, non-honorable former and incumbent officials, who have property on the French Riviera, I want to congratulate you – we will seek your property,” Yatsenyuk said while opening a government meeting.

He said that the relevant work has been done with the Interior Minister.

“We will continue to cooperate with the law enforcement agencies of the United States and the EU member countries in terms of tracking the property and assets of the former regime of Yanukovych, as well as combat corruption against both former and incumbent officials,” he said.
