EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fuele has said that the European Union is planning to continue helping Ukraine modernize its gas transport system.
“We are continuing to work closely with the Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Ministry to get support from international financial institutions in the modernization of the gas transport system, in accordance with Ukraine’s commitments undertaken as part of the Energy Community,” he said in Kyiv on Thursday at a meeting with representatives of civil society, teachers and students of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
Fuele also said that the EU would continue to provide macro-financial assistance to Ukraine.
