European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule has not ruled out that Ukraine could join the EU, Germany's Deutsche Welle radio station reported on March 18.
“If we want to seriously change that part of Eastern Europe, which was affected by the current events, we have to use the EU’s most powerful policy instrument – this is enlargement. It has an unprecedented and effective stabilizing force,” the radio station quoted him as saying in an interview with German newspaper Die Welt.
