You're reading: Full-scale law enforcement operation starting in Luhansk against armed groups

In response to the actions of Luhansk illegal armed formations, Ukraine's law enforcement services are launching a full-scale operation with the use of the Air Force and armored vehicles, Dmytro Tymchuk, coordinator of the Kyiv-based Information Resistance Group, said.

“According to intelligence received by the Information Resistance Group, the Ukrainian law enforcement services are starting a full-scale operation in Luhansk to neutralize terrorist groups,” he wrote on Facebook on Monday.

He also said that militant groups active near the buildings of the Luhansk State Regional Administration and Security Service, near the border detachment and in other parts of the city will be neutralized (and, if resistance is offered, destroyed).

He said the law enforcement operation will involve the Ukrainian Air Force and armored vehicles. “It was caused exclusively by operations of terrorist groups in Luhansk,” Tymchuk said.
