Gazprom filing arbitration suit seeking $8.2 billion from Naftogaz in take-or-pay penalties

BELGRADE - Gazprom will submit claims against Naftogaz Ukrainy and file in Stockholm arbitration to recover $8.197 billion for gas Ukraine is liable to pay for under take-or-pay contract provisions in 2014, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said during the annual European Business Congress.

Miller said Naftogaz’s total debt amounted to $29.477 billion.
