Kharkiv – The visa center of the German Embassy in Ukraine has opened in Kharkiv, the press service of Kharkiv City Council reported on Tuesday.

The official opening ceremony was attended by German Consul General in Donetsk Klaus Zillikens and German Honorary Consul in Kharkiv Tetiana Havrysh.

“The center will greatly simplify the procedure for obtaining visas for travelers… In the center it will be possible to apply for a visa, pay the necessary taxes and make a photo. This procedure takes about 15 minutes. Then the person will have to wait for a response from the Germany Embassy, which comes to a resident of Kharkiv as a message on a cell phone,” the press service quoted Zillikens as saying.

Havrysh said that the visa center can service up to 150 people a day and is ready to expand the staff if necessary.
