You're reading: German, Hungarian foreign ministers to visit Ukraine on Dec. 19

The foreign ministers of Germany and Hungary will come to Ukraine on December 19, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Yevhen Perebyinis has said.

“Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier will come on a working visit to Ukraine on Dec. 19,” Perebyinis said at a briefing on Wednesday.

According to him, during the visit Steinmeier is expected to meet with Ukrainian leadership, and hold talks with Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin.

Foreign Affairs Minister of Hungary Peter Szijjarto, who took this post on September 23, 2014, will also visit Ukraine on Dec. 19.

During the scheduled meetings, the officials will discuss Ukraine’s European integration, and cooperation in energy and ethnic policy.

At a meeting with Klimkin, the plan of consultations between the foreign ministries of Hungary and Ukraine for 2015-2016 will be signed, Perebyinis said.
