The Ukrainian government has allocated Hr 150 million for the purchase of terminals for issuing biometric passports, Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Ostap Semerak has said.

“We have adopted a resolution allocating Hr 150 million in additional funds for the purchase of terminals for the State Migration Service. There will be about 600 terminals that will read and print biometric data on the passport,” he told reporters in Kyiv on Nov. 5.

In addition, he said, the Cabinet of Ministers also decided to allocate additional funds to the Ukraina Printing Plant for the purchase of equipment for issuing foreign passports.
