The Cabinet of Ministers has approved an action plan until 2020 for the integration of refugees and persons in need of additional protection into Ukrainian society.
Prime Minister Mykola Azarov signed a respective order on Aug. 22.
The document instructs "ministries and other central executive government agencies to envisage, while drafting Ukraine's state budget for a respective year, the expenditures needed to implement the action plan" regarding the integration of refugees and persons in need of additional protection into Ukrainian society for the period until 2020.
In addition, the government ordered a number of agencies and departments to organize the formation of a tolerant attitude towards refugees and the training of specialists in Ukrainian as a foreign language, history, culture and state system of Ukraine.
Concerned organizations and departments should also foresee the development of a network of points of temporary accommodation for refugees in the regions of their greatest concentration and the implementation of a project on the provision of medical and psychosocial assistance to these people.
