The Ukrainian government has approved the procedure for making social payments (pensions, stipends, compensation, etc) to persons who move from the temporarily occupied territory of the country and the area of the anti-terrorist operation.

This is stipulated in Cabinet of Ministers resolution No. 637 of Nov. 5 on making social payments to persons who move from the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and the area of the anti-terrorist operation.

According to the document, the government established that the assignment and extension of pension payments (a monthly life allowance), life state scholarships, all kinds of social assistance and compensation, financial security, the provision of social services at the expense of funds of the state budget and compulsory state social insurance funds to individuals who move from the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and the area of the anti-terrorist operation are carried out by the place of residence of such persons on the register, which is confirmed by a certificate issued in accordance with the government-approved procedure for the registration and issuance of certificates about the registration of such persons.

Such payments that are assigned or extended to respective persons before the entry into force of this resolution are made by the actual place of residence (stay) if such a certificate is issued by Dec. 31, 2014.

The Social Policy Ministry, regional state administrations and Kyiv City State Administration were ordered to take measures to inform individuals who move from the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and the area of the anti-terrorist operation about the procedure for their registration and the issuance of respective certificates.
