You're reading: Government ups funding Euro 2012 preparations by Hr 3.6 billion

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has increased the projected cost of the preparations for and hosting the Euro 2012 European Football Championship in Ukraine by Hr 3.6 billion, or 3.23%, to Hr 114.746 billion.

The government made respective amendments to the State Targeted Program for the Preparations for Euro 2012 with its instruction No. 1000 dated Sept. 7.

Most of the increase in funding falls to other sources – Hr 3.166 billion.

The government revised expenditures on the preparations for Euro 2012 from 2008 until 2012, in particular, in 2011 some Hr 55.677 billion will be allocated for the preparations (Hr 1.692 billion higher than the projected sum), some Hr 15.960 billion (Hr 2.588 billion higher than the projected sum) will be spent in 2012.

Funding in 2009 and 2008 was also corrected downwards.
