The situation around the implementation of the Minsk agreements will be one of the top agenda items at the meetings that Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine's parliament) speaker Volodymyr Groysman is to have at different levels in Sweden and Finland, his press secretary Dmytro Stolyarchuk said.

“We’re off visiting Sweden and Finland. The main topics on the agenda of the meetings [planned] at different levels are the lack of progress in the implementation of the Minsk agreements, inter-parliamentary interaction, both on the bilateral level and within international organizations (PACE, PA OSCE), engagement of the Swedish and Finnish parliaments in the process of reforming the Verkhovna Rada,” Stolyarchuk wrote on his Facebook page on Nov. 16.

Groysman will pay official visits to Sweden and Finland on Nov. 16-18, the Ukrainian parliamentary press service said.

The program of his visit to Sweden includes his audience with Sweden’s King Carl XVI Gustaf and a meeting with Prime Minister Stefan Lofven.

Groysman will also meet with his Swedish counterpart, the Riksdag speaker, Urban Ahlin, members of the group on co-operation with Ukraine at the Riksdag, as well as with the third deputy speaker of the Riksdag, the chairman of its working committee on gender equality, Esabelle Dingizian.

During his visit to Finland, Groysman will meet with President Sauli Niinisto and the speaker of the Eduskunta, the Finnish parliament, Maria Lohela.
