Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite has said that Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko should work only for his own people.

“He was elected by all the people and should work only for the
people, not for his family or for group interests, but only for his
people,” she told reporters after Poroshenko’s swearing-in ceremony in
Kyiv on Saturday.

Grybauskaite said that over the next five years (the term of office
of the president) it would be necessary to do a lot for the Ukrainian
people.

“Firstly, it’s necessary to ensure there is no corruption, that all
wealth belongs to the people of your country, and that people can live
better,” she said.

She said she was flying over Ukraine today and saw how beautiful and rich the country is, “but people do not feel it.”

Grybauskaite noted that it was very important for the Ukrainian
president to understand his responsibility to the people and the need to
listen to the minority, and “solve all the problems through dialogue.”

The Lithuanian president also described the inauguration ceremony as modest.
