Ukrainian Foreign minister Kostyantyn Gryshchenko has instructed the heads of Ukrainian diplomatic establishments abroad to ensure there is open and transparent polling at embassies for Ukrainians at the upcoming parliamentary elections.
"During the parliamentary elections you will have an opportunity to show that you can be open and useful to our citizens," the minister said while opening the 11th conference of the heads of Ukraine's diplomatic missions abroad in Kyiv on Tuesday, Oct. 2.
He added that he expects that Ukrainian embassies abroad will "demonstrate activeness, openness, and effectiveness while supporting the democratic polling of Ukrainians."
Ukrainians will elect the next parliament on October 28, 2012.
