The end of May 2013 is the deadline for holding elections for Kyiv mayor and deputies of Kyiv City Council, Chairman of the Committee of Voters of Ukraine Oleksandr Chernenko has said.
“In May 2013 the office of mayor, who has already resigned, and the
city council come to an end. The deadline for the elections to take
place is the end of May of 2013,” he said during the press conference in
Kyiv on Tuesday.
Chernenko said that Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with a resolution must
schedule a day to hold these elections. According to him, the elections
will be difficult, intense, and very competitive.
