You're reading: Hryschenko to participate in North Atlantic Council meeting

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kostiantyn Hryschenko will visit Brussels on April 19, Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleksandr Dykusarov has said.

"On April 19, the minister will attend a meeting of the NATO North Atlantic Council at the level of foreign ministers in the format of countries contributing to the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan, which will be held at NATO headquarters in Brussels," Dykusarov said at a briefing on Wednesday.

Dykusarov noted that the meeting participants would discuss the current state of the political situation, as well as the security situation in Afghanistan, while also paying attention to the process of transferring the responsibility for security to the Afghan government and considering the issue of progress made in combating corruption in the region. He said that a number of documents would also be considered.
