The International Committee of the Red Cross has expressed concern about the current escalation of tensions in eastern Ukraine.
“We are concerned by the worsened security situation in eastern Ukraine,” it said on Twitter on April 21.
The ICRC backed efforts to ease humanitarian aid access to Donbas.
“We welcome initiatives that extend humanitarian access,” it said.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and ICRC President Peter Maurer discussed further cooperation between Ukraine and the ICRC on April 21.
