An International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission, which is currently in Kyiv, will start reviewing the Stand-By Arrangement (SBA) with Ukraine only after the formation of a new Cabinet of Ministers, (IMF) Deputy Communications Spokesperson William Murray said at a press briefing in Washington on Nov. 13.

In his words, the mission will be able to hold further negotiations as soon as a new government has been formed.

The mission is currently in Kyiv and actively communicates with the Ukrainian authorities.

Murray didn’t elaborate on the schedule of the mission and the issues it discusses with the Ukrainian side.

As was reported, a recent IMF mission arrived in Kyiv on Nov. 11. It was originally planned to stay in Ukraine until Nov. 25. On the agenda were the current economic situation in Ukraine, the progress of the SBA’s implementation, and the Ukrainian authorities’ policy aimed at maintaining macroeconomic and financial stability and resumption of the growth of the country’s economy.
