The Infrastructure Ministry of Ukraine in pursuance of the National Action Plan for 2012 to implement the program of economic reforms for 2010-2014 "A Rich Society, Competitive Economy, Effective State" approved by the presidential decree dated March 12, 2012, is developing a new wording of the law on road transport.

According to the ministry’s press service, the main requirement for
the new bill is its compliance with the provisions of the legislation of
the European Union on regulations in the field of road transport.

The ministry experts will create an ad hoc group, which will develop
the bill. To take into account the proposals and remarks of all the
interested departments and agencies, the ministry turned to other
ministries, trade unions, profile public organizations and trucking
associations to determine and provide candidates of several experts to
include in the ad hoc group.

“For the rapid formation of the new wording of the draft law, the
ministry refers to the interested departments asking them by June 22,
2012 to provide their proposals on a possible structure of the bill and
its content in the form of a comparative table of the bill, as well as
an explanatory note on the proposed changes,” reads the report.
