Ousted former President Viktor Yanukovych and his circle finance the militants operating on the east of Ukraine, advisor to the Interior Minister Anton Heraschenko has said.

“According to our data, the family of Mr. Yanukovych finances this
holiday of terrorism. If he [Yanukovych] denies it – let him sue me,” he
said in a Shuster Live TV program at First National TV channel.

Hired militants coming from Russia “receive $2,000-$3,000”, he said.

Heraschenko said the main task is to fight against them, and not to wait for help from the international community.
