You're reading: Interior Ministry reports 176 violations during May 25 election

The Interior Ministry of Ukraine registered 176 violations related to the electoral process during Ukraine's presidential elections, including 44 serious ones, Deputy Interior Minister Serhiy Yarovy said.

Speaking at a press briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers, the
official said that out of the 44 serious violations, 18 occurred in
Donetsk region, eight in Luhansk region, three in Zaporizhia region,
three in Kharkiv region, three in the city of Kyiv, two in
Dnipropetrovsk region, two in Odesa region; while Lviv, Mykolaiv,
Kherson, Ternopil and Chernihiv regions each registered one violation.

Of these, there were 16 cases of obstruction of the work of election
commissions, four cases of falsification or destruction of election
documents, and six reports about bombs being planted at polling
stations, all of which turned out to be false.

In addition, there were two incidents of resistance to police
officers in the performance of their duties as well as one report of
bribing voters (in Dnipropetrovsk region).
