The European Investment Bank (EIB) in 2014-2016 will issue 3 billion euro for funding investment projects in Ukraine.

“We plan over the next three years, including the current one, to invest 3 billion euro in Ukraine,” EIB Vice President Laszlo Baranyay said during the signing of a loan agreement with Astarta agricultural holding in Kyiv.

He noted that the bank is financing the construction of the Beskydsky tunnel, and plans to invest in a number of promising sectors of the Ukrainian economy.

“There is a partnership program with Ukraine in the EU, which provides our bank with the possibility of carrying out activities in a number of sectors in Ukraine,” the banker said.
